a water bottle redistribution initiative
Thirst Trap is a 501(c)3 non-profit initiative to corral, clean, fill and get unclaimed water bottles into the hands of our unhoused neighbors who might need a sturdy hydration tool.
ask yourself, how many unused water bottles are sitting in the lost-and-found of your workplace, gym, favorite small business, even in your own home right now? staying hydrated in our high, dry climate can be tough and many of our communities share this untapped resource
streamlining consistent access to the vital necessity of water, specifically to our most vulnerable populations, is where we come in
what we do
(and do well)
Thirst Trap collects these bottles and transports them to our restaurant partners who thoroughly sanitize and reassemble them
Thirst Trap partners with local small businesses and community spaces to locate unclaimed water bottles
Thirst Trap transport these bottles to local community gatherings for our unhoused communities; any overflow we have gets donated directly to shelters
how you can help
from locating, acquiring, transporting, disassembling, washing, reassembling, delivering and redistributing, we’re always on the lookout for extra hands to collect, carry and clean bottles with us! curious how you can help? reach out - we couldn’t do this without our Thirsty Volunteers!
volunteer
the very reason retail donation sites cannot accept reusable water bottles is because of a lack of resource in sanitization. tax deductible monetary donations help cover transportation, cleaning, and the everyday costs that keep water flowing to those who need it most!
