To know me, is to know that for the last 7 years, I’ve carried a one gallon reusable water bottle with me everywhere I go. It’s become a part of my personality at this point; a conversation starter, and an accessory to every outfit. And yes, I do drink the entire thing, every single day. Learning that staying hydrated was key to minimizing medical intervention during a health crisis meant that I had to shift my understanding of the importance of staying hydrated, especially as a professional dancer and choreographer.

As the co-director of a thriving movement studio in Denver and as a guest teacher in umpteen dance and movement studios, I witness firtsthand how many water bottles get left behind, only to be thrown in a box and taken to a donation center months down the road. What if we just collect these bottles, and ensure they get delivered into the hands of the folks who need them immediately?

In most recent studies, it’s estimated that roughly 3.5 million people will die of dehydration in the world, this year - roughly 450,00 of those individuals being children. Think globally, act locally; when we consider the simplicity of pooling our resources to redistribute what we already have on hand, the impact can literally be life-sustaining.

No matter what unique intersections we come from or where we are headed as individuals, water is a vital resource that we all need to live; access to it is our birthright, and ensuring we ALL have access to it is the least we can do. Your support literally changes lives!

Stay hydrated and go with the flow,
